Jane Oulton is a registered dietitian and a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Home Economics from the University of British Columbia and completed a dietetic internship at the North York General Hospital in Toronto. With over 30 years of experience and knowledge, she is a leading health professional in long term care and the food services industry. Jane is also the founder and CEO of Diet Kontrol, Inc , a nutrition software program. Jane is a long-standing mentor for many dietetic interns. She continues to partner with the Hamilton Health Sciences Dietetic Internship Program, Ryerson University, Chang School of Continuing Education, and recently Brescia University-College, as a regular contributor to the education of dietetic interns interested in the long term care and gerontology area of nutrition. By working with many students and volunteers, she and her team help build and motivate them to reach their professional goals. Jane is also a proud supporter and founding member (1986) of Soroptimist International- Dundas, Ancaster, and Flamborough. As a result of her dedication to bettering the lives of young women and those that she works with, she was nominated for the 2012 YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Trailblazer category.
